Meet Chicago photographer, Estevansta

Zoey Bloom

On the blog today, we're talking with our photographer friend Estevan Cruz. This Chicago local is a full-time student and wedding photographer, specializing in engagements, family portraits, and lifestyle images.

Le Coeur: Who inspires your work?

Estevan: My friends inspire my work mostly! All my friends are so talented and every one of them inspire me to do everything i do whether its take pictures, work out, dance or just be a positive influence to others. Crazy thing is that I met most of my closest friends through Instagram and my photography! Here's a list of my favorite photographers, bloggers, dancers and overall favorite people that I've met and befriended: Jeanne Grey (@thegreylayers), Joel Tucker (@joelttucker), Juan Riesco (@juanyworldwide), Maricel Cruz (@maricelcruzphoto), Anthony Trevino (@trevinoanthony), Nicole Mejia (@nicole_mejia), Justine Cuenco (@cococuenco), JP Quindara (@jpquindara), Shaun Baluyot (@shaun.baluyot), and Megan Batoon (@meganbatoon).

LC: How do you spend your free time?

Estevan: Free time is something I barely have during the school year or even in-general, but when I can I love to skateboard, hike, and spend ridiculous amounts of time at coffee houses!

LC: What are your favorite spots in your city?

Estevan: My favorite places to be in Chicago are Nini’s Deli (my all time favorite place to be, you'll see me there guaranteed every week), Lincoln Park Conservatory, and Lake Shore.

LC: What are some of your hobbies?

Estevan: I have a lot of hobbies that I can barely keep up with but I still skateboard, play drums, guitar and breakdance!

LC: What is your favorite Le Coeur timepiece and why?

Estevan: Currently I'm in love with the Toronto timepiece, the leather quality of the black strap is amazing and the silver face is essential to any outfit! But I have to get my hands on the Chicago chronograph timepiece!

Meet Oregon Fashion Blogger, Olivia Corin

Mandy Lancia

Today, we're sitting down and catching up with Olivia Corin of Silver Lining Fashion and chatting about the inspiration behind her blogging, sense for personal style and passion for social justice.

The idea that there is only one type of beauty, and only one way to present ourselves, is simply not true. If we can learn to respect ourselves, and learn to love our unique beauty, others will respect us too...The things we go through, and the flaws we see, do not define us.
Past experiences do not pave the road for our future, but merely create new doors to be opened...We all are different, but no matter what you love, what your passion is, or what you are doing, we should all have a common goal. Love, respect, and understanding.
I want to one day mentor young girls into becoming women with drive, respect, and a heart to help people through whatever passion they may have. I would love to be able to live in New York and start a foundation for women.
Along with fashion, I would say that music is at the same level of importance to me. I spend a lot of my time listening to new music, imagining auditioning for Broadway, and singing everything at all times.
I strive to have classiness be my guide in all things fashion, and a chic edginess to be the rest.

Meet Washington DC Photographer and Stylist, Antonio Dillard

Mandy Lancia

Taking over our blog today is Washington DC's Antonio Dillard. Popularly known for his work, deserted in urban, the content creator, photographer, stylist and dancer travels between New York and Los Angeles, seamlessly capturing minimalism and simplicity in his photography and styling.

I'm inspired by the littlest details and seeing things outside the box. Inspiration comes from the heart, so when I see other creative's passionate about their art it drives me to perfect my own craft. I spend more time often dreaming about how I can impact the world and make my dreams a reality.

In 5 years, I'd like to own my own store. It would be a conjunction of different offerings where creatives can meet, sell their products, collaborate, and do business while also pushing the movement of our ideas across the world.

Cape Town has become one of my favorites [Le Coeur timepieces] because it goes with any outfit for any situation; I wear it so much I almost forget I have it on.

I would describe my style as urban minimalism with abstract pieces that bring simplicity to a comfortable look, while still having that edge. It doesn't get any better than expressing one's self through art or style; people get to visually witness who you are.

Meet Hong Kong Native and Aussie musician, Janni

Zoey Bloom

This past weekend, we caught up with musician and artist Janni Pan to explore a few of Hong Kong Island's favored neighborhoods. Gracious, joyful, and genuine, Janni has a warmth about her that's immediately noticed. Read on as she chats with us about her personal style, what's been inspiring her lately, and how music has shaped her life.

I draw inspiration from anywhere. I’m definitely someone who is really influenced by emotions I have in the moment. Or I might have a random melody, or line pop into my head, and I’ll work and develop from that idea. I always have an open note on my phone full of random lyrics I’ve written while commuting to and from work. You’ll sometimes find me singing into my phone to record a melody. I write about my own personal experiences and I also draw external influences a lot.

Although I’ve spent the majority of my upbringing in Hong Kong, I will say that I was brought up with a very western mind set. In terms of music, I’m very open-minded and like to listen to a variety of different genres. I love mainstream pop, but I’ve also learnt to appreciate old-school jazz, blues, techno, etc.
I feel that being able to manage your own time is the greatest freedom you can have. Waking up and knowing that I’m in full control of what I do today... [that’s] empowering.
I’m loving the Milan! The gold casing just matches so well against the black. I also liked the New York - it was hard to choose!
My personal style is different every day. It depends on my mood, or sometimes I may wake up wanting to go for a particular vibe or look. I can go from super sporty, to super feminine in a flash. That’s what I love about fashion - you can reinvent yourself everyday.

This one’s from my dad: “don’t worry about failures, what’s better lies ahead.”
