Meet Parisian models and UN Human Rights Defenders, Maria and Pierrick

Amy Mokris

While in Paris, we caught up with the Maria and Pierrick, talented models and human rights defenders for the UN. Not only did they style a few looks with our timepieces, but they also shared some thoughts on the power of creation and the need for government to encourage artistic expression and freedom of speech. Catch more from our photoshoot below.

Art is a reflection of the state of the world. To kill or stifle the funding of the arts, is to deprive the people of their only means of expression.
The art of creating is powerful. It serves a purpose; it develops the mind and improves the human soul.
Freedom of speech and artistic expression connected man to man; it makes all of your ideas, thoughts and dreams a concrete reality. In so many ways, it’s a reflection of the soul.

Meet Chicago flight attendant and Instagram sensation, Taylor Tippett

Zoey Bloom

Today on the blog, we're catching up with world-traveling flight attendant Taylor Tippett. Her exuberance and genuine warmth are apparent the second you meet her, and we're so inspired by her creativity in photography, design, and writing. This Chicago-based lady has some serious dance moves and some seriously insightful perspective on living with intentionality. Read on to explore more from our shoot with Taylor, and get to know her through our Q&A.

Le Coeur: Introduce yourself! Who are you and what do you do?

Taylor: Hi y’all! I’m Taylor Tippett. I’m based in the babe of a city named Chicago. I adventure all over the world as a flight attendant. I decided to become a flight attendant in 2014 because I adore the heck out of people and I wanted to have a job that allows me freedom to do that in a really cool, different kind of way. I also am a really big aviation geek and love everything that has to do with airplanes. And HELLO traveling the world for free? YES.

LC: What or who most inspires your work?

Taylor: The places I go and the people I meet/get to love on inspire me to the max. People’s stories are the coolest and most inspiring way for me to learn and grow as a human. Hearing where they have been, what they have seen, and being able to get to know them on such a real and deep level has opened my heart up and eyes up to see the beauty all around me. To love better and more freely. And that really inspires my work and the heart behind everything I do. Intentionality is so important.

LC: How do you spend your free time, and what does time mean to you?

Taylor: My free time is usually spent involved in the things I am passionate about. Hanging with my people, adventuring, writing, reading, and getting myself involved in any activities that bring out my 5 year old heart (climbing, dancing, and all the whimsy things) are where I find myself. I hold my free time so precious because it’s really hard being gone a lot to actually have intentional free time. Time is such a valuable thing to me.

LC: How would you describe your style?

Taylor: My style is very laid back, tomboy, adventurous, and simple. I usually throw on a pair of my Levis with a plain shirt a cool hat and my boots and I am set. It doesn’t take much for me to really feel like me. I am always getting into some kind of a ruckus so I wear clothes that work for everything. I also really believe in quality over quantity so that really comes into play with the brands I support and how that affects my style and what I wear.

LC: What are some of your hobbies? What are some things you do that feel completely separate from your work?

Taylor: Eating tacos. A lot of tacos. Dancing all of the time and anywhere that I can. Writing for my blog "A Travelin’ Lady". Being healthy. Rock climbing. Obsessing over Justin Bieber. But for real. I love trying new things and I feel like I get so passionate about so much. I love loving and getting pumped about the things the people in my life are pumped about so I feel like I just have so many random hobbies and interests.

LC: Since you're also from Chicago, what are your favorite spots in the city?

Taylor: Reno. Bang Bang Pie and Biscuits. Ipsento. Lincoln Park Conservatory. US #1 Vintage. The Logan Square Farmer’s market. I have so many favorites the list could go on and on. Chicago is seriously the coolest city. 100%.

LC: What is your favorite Le Coeur timepiece and why?

Taylor: My favorite Le Coeur timepiece is the Beijing. It fits with anything I could pull out of the closet and it works so well with my work uniform. It’s minimal and such an amazing piece that really helps all my outfits and looks come together. It is so important to have a solid watch, I really really stand behind that.

Meet Oregon Fashion Blogger, Olivia Corin

Mandy Lancia

Today, we're sitting down and catching up with Olivia Corin of Silver Lining Fashion and chatting about the inspiration behind her blogging, sense for personal style and passion for social justice.

The idea that there is only one type of beauty, and only one way to present ourselves, is simply not true. If we can learn to respect ourselves, and learn to love our unique beauty, others will respect us too...The things we go through, and the flaws we see, do not define us.
Past experiences do not pave the road for our future, but merely create new doors to be opened...We all are different, but no matter what you love, what your passion is, or what you are doing, we should all have a common goal. Love, respect, and understanding.
I want to one day mentor young girls into becoming women with drive, respect, and a heart to help people through whatever passion they may have. I would love to be able to live in New York and start a foundation for women.
Along with fashion, I would say that music is at the same level of importance to me. I spend a lot of my time listening to new music, imagining auditioning for Broadway, and singing everything at all times.
I strive to have classiness be my guide in all things fashion, and a chic edginess to be the rest.

Meet Washington DC Photographer and Stylist, Antonio Dillard

Mandy Lancia

Taking over our blog today is Washington DC's Antonio Dillard. Popularly known for his work, deserted in urban, the content creator, photographer, stylist and dancer travels between New York and Los Angeles, seamlessly capturing minimalism and simplicity in his photography and styling.

I'm inspired by the littlest details and seeing things outside the box. Inspiration comes from the heart, so when I see other creative's passionate about their art it drives me to perfect my own craft. I spend more time often dreaming about how I can impact the world and make my dreams a reality.

In 5 years, I'd like to own my own store. It would be a conjunction of different offerings where creatives can meet, sell their products, collaborate, and do business while also pushing the movement of our ideas across the world.

Cape Town has become one of my favorites [Le Coeur timepieces] because it goes with any outfit for any situation; I wear it so much I almost forget I have it on.

I would describe my style as urban minimalism with abstract pieces that bring simplicity to a comfortable look, while still having that edge. It doesn't get any better than expressing one's self through art or style; people get to visually witness who you are.
